Hey, thanks for the post. Been looking at doing this for a while.

Is it the case that mod_dav_svn will only work with apache 2 and upwards? I'm running apache 1.3.somethingorother and compiling subversion from source --with-apxs complains that my version of apxs is out of date!

Regardless, I think its time I upgraded my rig, still got php4 on it so apache 2 and php 5 seem to be the way to go!

Thanks again,
Andy

If you'd like to learn more about Scratch, I'd encourage you to come to our Scratch@MIT conference this July 24-26 on the MIT campus (http://scratch.mit.edu/conference)

Scratch@MIT brings together educators, parents, researchers, and other members of the rapidly growing Scratch community.

Since the launch of Scratch in May 2007, more than 125,000 projects have been uploaded to the Scratch community website (http://scratch.mit.edu). Children around the world have created and shared an incredibly diverse range of interactive creations, including online newscasts, multi-episode soap operas, science simulations, and community service announcements.

The Scratch@MIT conference will provide an opportunity to share experiences and discuss future possibilities for Scratch. For more information, see http://scratch.mit.edu/conference

Yeah ... I was thinking about that also. I started to wonder if they might be restricting people from doing that. On their website they say:

"There are many reasons, including our dedication to seamless customer service. We will not have maintenance centers set up in other states until the expansion of our distribution as well state regulatory issues worked out. We are working hard to make the Aptera available to everyone, but in order for that to happen we need to solve any future contingencies on a regional level."

... and also ...

"Aptera is a registered vehicle manufacturer and you will have no problem registering your Aptera. But because we're a new manufacturer, Aptera is not yet shown in all insurance databases. We will work with insurers in all 50 states to make sure the Aptera is listed before major production begins. As time permits, we'll update our Aptera family members on this progress. But in the interim, I suggest you hold fast: You will be able to easily register and insure your Aptera when the first vehicles are delivered."

I'll keep watching ... but they also say:

"Currently the Aptera typ-1 is only available to those who reside in California. We will work hard to bring this vehicle to the rest of the country and to international customers soon but we can not confidently give a time frame as to when this will occur. Those from out of state will receive a prompt refund. We appreciate your patience and would like for you to sign up for our newsletter so we can keep you informed as to when we will begin selling the Aptera in your area."

Hmmm ... maybe I use my parents address ... they live in San Ramon, California ...

Scott,

Great Post. The original concept was developed by A. Roger Merrill and Rebecca R. Merrill in conjunction with Stephen Covey. The Merrill's wrote a book called "Connections: Quadrant II Time Management." It is currently out of print but you can still find copies circulating on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Connections-Quadrant-II-Time-Management/dp/0962236306

I found out about this book form Roger himself the first time I took out his daughter Sarah. I got the fathers interview and everything and at the end he gave me a signed copy. At the time I was a little nervous but it was actually pretty cool.

Great book. If you have a chance to pick it up you should. It has some great concepts and principles that really make sense.

Thanks,
Curtis J. Morley

Hey Scott. I met you last August at the Key Bank implosion. Saw your entry on the iPod touch and had to comment.

I bought one for my fiance for Christmas last year and it's an amazing gadget. I got her the 16gb model, but will eventually get the 32gb model for myself.

And cool to see karma works in many great ways.

Hey! Thanks for commenting. I'd have to say that now that I'm watching what is going on with the One Laptop Per Child organization, there are far more dangerous perspectives that could impact children around the globe. I'll post about it soon. I've been meaning to write a new post about the XO Laptop and some of the politics involved ...

I thought this was pretty funny. You deserve at least one comment about it. I just don't get how anyone could want someone so repulsive in office. Her lead in the primary makes no sense at all.

Scott, you DID remember to include your donation of a $699 SCOSource license for each laptop, didn't you?
We wouldn't want Darl to have to trek out to some out of the way village in Darfur, just to collect his racketeering payment, would we?

Actually, this is not a bug in Flex Builder 3. I ran into the *exact* same problem with my standard Eclipse installation that I got from the Eclipse.org site. I did not download the full Java SDK version of Eclipse, but instead just the basic, stripped down v3.2 version.

I've then installed a whole series of plug-ins for Perl, PHP, Flex 2, and many other perspectives ... and then went to install Subclipse. It failed to install with the exact same issues ... there was no Java Tools / JDT present. I went through these steps, and it worked.

In any case ... this is a good solution for anyone that can't seem to get Subclipse installed in Eclipse ...

If you read the comments of that bug report you mentioned, you will see that this problem has nothing to do with Subclipse. This is a bug in FB 3. It is shipped with an invalid Eclipse configuration. So an attempt to install ANY 3rd party plugin via the Install/Update Manager will give you this error.

HI--I've been using RadioUserland for 4 years and the idea has finally gotten through to me that it's more or less moribund. I've been trying to figure out how to migrate it and which program it's easiest to migrate into and my wife is taking a course in WordPress, so that looks like a good option. Your instructions look straightforward as well. I'd love to have a copy of your hacked tools, the Steve Hooker tool and the WordPress RSS Import hack. Have you posted them or can you email them to me? Thanks a lot.
